6 years ago when I first tried to buy it, most of the black paint was still on it. It has passed through a few hands and someone stripped it to bare metal, put cheap primer on it and pushed it outsideno

It has the roof trim too must be it what are the odds I first seen it in 1985 out in Chippawa was $4500 might as well been 1000000 ! I later worked with Jim and listened to the Lancaster raceway stories I tried to buy it from Tony 6-7 years ago

Can it be bought now ? Is it complete ? If its it I ll tell you all I know about it. I shoulda bought Jim s brother 67 SS in 95 but I was a beaumont guy !

Looks like lots of work is needed but with the options it has, also looks like just the car to restore for a Beaumont guy.

My 66 Grande Parisienne big block 4 speed had it. The distributor looks just like a point type, same distributor cap on both of them.  It's 20 years ago that I had that car but if I remember right, it had a short harness with a 2 or 3 wire plug off the distributor that made it unique---the point type uses a single wire. The ignition coil looks just like the one for points.

There is a box that sits on the left inner fender near the front (at least that's where it's located on the B body cars) that is the control module for the unit. I owned the car for about 9 years and never had a stitch of trouble with it.

I posted a pic of the box the other night in the "66 Grande Parisienne photo thread" on here. Scroll about 3/4 of the way down the page and look at the picture taken from the passenger side looking across to the driver's side inner fender, at the front.

Carl-if this is the car I think it is I was telling you about it a couple years ago the original owner s friend bought a Black/Black 66 Strato Chief with 427/425 4 speed then this guy bought the beaumont new negotiated $3300 but didn't get the wheels !!!!! Raced it for years at Niagara Raceway in NY-it was once points champion_- I recall them stealing a 427 out of a company car Caprice for it ! So I assume the 396 went with it
