Anyone into motorcycles

This is the first time I have offered my bike for sale. It started life as a 1979 Honda CBX, the one with an inline 6 cyl engine. At the time (1999) many of my friends had Harleys so I converted the CBX into a Harley Softail. This picture was taken about 9 yrs ago when I put it away, but it looks the same other than it's dusty. I bought a new battery a couple of months ago and fired it up, still runs nice. I value it at $5000 and would consider trading it for a decent good running vehicle. This is the only picture I have right now.

Thanks for looking
Randy

Interesting custom...

Imop, a CBX with a nice 6 into 1 has the most spine tingling howl I've ever heard on a bike, bar none.

to the first question yes i'm into bikes, i have 6. as for your cbx, very cool!! i've only heard one other with a 6 into 1 and she screamed. i've never liked harley. actually its the owners. but i like the softtail look with the big 6 you have. did ya use your stock frame and mount the softtail tail tank and what not's on it? i have a chopper project somewhere in the back of the shop with a z1 engine in it. good luck with your sale

Basically I used a Softail frame and grafted it onto the CBX gooseneck and down tubes. This way all stock Harley parts, tanks, speedo, ign, seat, fender, swing arm etc. just bolted on. Good luck with your chopper project.

Thanks
Randy

I was going to reply that I'm pretty sure Stephenzone was born on a bike but I see he's already posted his interest in them. Which is the exact reason why he always "keeps her twisted"!

At first I thought his English was a bit rusty, perhaps from Quebec, but then I saw he was born in the up side down year, 1961 , so then it made sense. LOL !!!    dizzy.gif

Thanks
Randy

I'm sure Steve doesn't mean ALL Harley riders.
It's like me, I dislike Mercedes and BMW drivers (almost ALL).
