I hate to sound negitive, but what exactly are you getting for $9000.Some peoples prices are way off the map.

You're buying the opppurtunity to sink many$$$$ into a car that may never be finished and will be worth less than 40% of what it cost to restore.

I looked at this car 15 + years ago-the previous owner had a 66 SD396 beaumont which got sold to a friend's friend at the time-the friend offered more than I figured this car was worth at the time too-the present owner likely paid more-its been advertised on and off with his 64 Malibu SS but no dice-when he lowered it to under 10 a couple months back (it was once 15 or 17k) I offered to trade my truck that I'm asking $4500 for-he declined. - shoulda sold it in the hot market a few years back.

another point to add is the present owner of this chevelle has a 66 SD 327 4-speed Aztec Bronze that he bought from the chevelle owner in the mid 1980's--its a good one.
