The sway bar will work on both A and B bodies , but if using on a B body, you will require spacers.

I have the factory sway bar on both of my 69 B body cars. Attached are the illustrations .

I believe they are still available over the counter , however the original factory sway bars ( extremely rare) have a much less pronounced "V" in the middle .

2.5 inches to short on both sides, the 1968 b-body seams to be different.

that's what I was thinking.  The instructions posted are for a full size chevrolet chassis, but the Catalina is built on a different chassis.

I beleive Impala, Bonneville and Chevelle of the same vintage share bars regardless of the different chassis. The Bonny rear suspension actually has more in common with the Chevelle design. Shimming allows the same bar to be used across bodies.

Yes, I'm sure they will fit. The rear bar I pulled off my 75 Parisienne (same chassis as the American cars) would line up between the control arms of my 69 Caprice. Same goes for a rear bar from a mid 70s Monte Carlo and a late 80s Caprice police car.
