Has anyone had their exhaust manifolds ceramic coated? There is a guy at the swap meets who does this but I can't find his card. Seems to me he can coat them to look like cast. If anyone knows of this guy let me know please so I can get mine done. He is always at the Ancaster swap meet !
I tried the guy at the swap meets and I wasn't satisfied with the outcome, very poor quality. So I had a set of 2 1/2 " ram horns done by Fireball Coatings, now in Erin Ontario ($225). There is an ad in Old Autos.
Hey Kevin i just made the trip to Erin last week and brought in a set of headers and some manifolds. The owner Mark is a nice guy and they have a good website so you can pick out a coulor and finish that may intrest you.
I don't think I've seen a ceramic one coated to look like stock iron, only the shiny stuff.
Here is the High temp powder in cast iron color. after the burn in , the dull a bit and take some of the shine off . They hold up real well, I have a set I did on a 409 Impala that I keep an eye on at the shows.
I can also get this in Ceramic now, it is a tad darker, very good stuff.
I've been doing it for almost 10 years, 0 come backs...
