makes sense.   So, it sounds like Daves new 68 Beaumont was the 44th Beaumont down the line, and possibly the 1st SD.

This is my old car I bought in 1973 and sold it in 1980. The car was a 396-325 automatic on the column. original motor was replaced before I bought it.I replaced the transmission with a exchange unit from Sears, sold the original 12 bolt rear end and installed 10 bolt from my brothers 68 El Camino. The options on the were rear rear speaker, light monitoring system, am radio, vinyl top.

This was my first car I owned. I hot rodded it though the years until I sold it to guy in Campbell River., I was the one that had it  painted it orange, changed the interior from white to black. I don't have any good photos of the car.

just had a talk with randy, the owner of the car from 73~80, great guy, and was able to answer more interesting questions, mentioned a chaps name to me (who was a previous owner as well) that can help with alot more history of the car and ironically is a body guy thats been dealing with us for the past 4-5 years restoring a few cansos, so thats a nice. will call him in the a.m. as well. randy also mentioned that he may still have the original diff gears and torgue convertor from that car. aw crap hit the 'control' button by mistake and it went to bold writing.....what the *^%# dave out

What a great story! Lucky to find past owners so quickly. I've been trying to find the past owners of my car for 20 years and no such luck. I have faith that CP will flush out an owner sooner or later.
