First car I bought was a 72 Ventura 2 dr 6 cyl auto in 76. Paid $800 off the Chevy dealer's lot, as even then it needed rust repair in the quarters. Sold it and bought a 72 Impala 4 dr ht in 78. First car I yard drove was a 62 Acadian 194 standard; father bought it but it couldn't be licensed because we didn't have the owner trail and taxes hadn't been paid on it.
Excuse me but I have not seen pictures of this stuff

My first car was the '69 Pontiac Parisienne ragtop I have today. As everyone probably well knows by now, I bought it back about 13-14 years ago. Got a loan out in 1979 when I was 19, for $2,500.00 so I could have enough to pay for my insurance too! The car cost $1,875.00. I never lost track of her after she left home for the first and last time since I owned her.
Haaaa! And as they say, you always remember your first one. (Double ouch.)

my first car was a truck, a 66 canadian mercury 1/2 ton with a 428 cj with the truck 4 spd, i bought it from my uncle, i still have it, its just getting ready to be blocked out and painted, now has 427 side oiler high riser with a large spline 4spd from a car and a 9 inch diff with 410 gears.
My 67 Beaumont for $1100, bought it when I was 14...took me two years to restore it (i had two years to kill before I got my license!)...I was so excited to hear my 327 run open headers on the run stand! ....24 years ago, and it's still holding up!!
1957 Chevrolet 150 4 door sedan with less than 60,000 miles in summer of 1978. $550 from small town Saskatchewan. Had a number of small rust spots on the front of the hood from those darn Saskatchewan grasshoppers.
283 2 barrel, 3 speed standard. AM pushbutton radio and windshield washers were about the only options.

Hey, you guys got all the good stuff, mine was a 1955 Austin A55 with 4spd on the column! try powershifting that one! $50 w/2 sets of tires and a jack!
1960 Chev Belair 2 door wagon, 6 banger, 3 on the tree, medium green. Bought it from my math teacher when I was 14 for 20 bucks. I painted the back windows black on the inside for the cool tint look and put chromies on the back, cut off the exhaust pipe 3 feet from the manifolds. Man it sounded cool ! Drove it to school, no license or insurance or drivers licence and used it for Drama class video where two of my friends and I were used car salesmen, got top marks !! haha My old teacher still laughs about that show ....
1968 chrysler new yorker 4 door, what a land yacht. It had a 440,727 auto, loaded to the hilt, electric everything, air, tilt, telescopic, auto dim lights, lighters in the back seat.It did the best one wheel burnouts.I still know where it sits although the 440 and trans are long gone.
66 biscayne 4 door,i jewed them down from 125.00 to 115.00,was making 2.75 /hr at Canadian Tire then,in 1979(16 yrs old) never did see the road but next car was a 72 lemans with SB 350
I bought 2 cars under the age of 16, on 2 different occasions, and when my parents came home to find them in the driveway, they made me take them back. First one was a '65 Rideau 4-door, and the second one (that had to be towed/pushed in) was a '39 F**d pick-up. My first official purchase was a '74 Honda Civic, which I made into a rally car (3 Webers/intake, functional hood scoop, header, flexible air dam, bush bar with 5 fog/driving lights, rear spoiler off a Safari wagon). Wish I had a pic.

Added 1950 Lincoln wheels that I reversed myself, nerf bars I made in shop class, 5.60 front tires (off a Nash Rambler) and 8.20 rears (off a Cadillac) ...
Bught it at age 18, with money saved working in Clark (anyone remember them) gas station, $250 from a farmer.
