this 4 speed monte talk was a big issue over on the monte site a few years back.What a nice car,love to see it sometime!

Here are some production totals for the rarer Monte Carlos:

1971 350/3-speed manual: 280 cars (all were L65/M11)
1971 350/4-speed: 227 cars (L65 2-bbl and L48 4-bbl / M20)

1971 402/4-speed: 122 cars (all were LS3/M20)
