I think the warnings issued kept a lot of folks home and safe which is a good thing. I have to wonder though how our weather forecasters can be so wrong pretty much all the time. There is nowhere close to 30 cm here in Toronto. Snow didn't really start until 1:30 am where I live so I knew there was no way there would be 30 cm by rush hour. It's almost 9:00 am and snow has stopped, that's about the only thing the weather forecasters said would happen that did.

well you know what they say ray: litle boys that lie, grow up to be weather men, or politicians! being a weatherman, is the only job, that if your right at least 40% of the time, you get praise for it!
Noticed wrong time in the quote so I fixed it.

My wife and I have been in Florida for the past 2 weeks. My flight out has been cancelled 2 times and looks like a 3rd cancellation is coming! My older son is camping out at the house on the western side of Michigan and said last night brought snow of 18" and drifts of 5 to 6 feet in the driveway. Most businesses are closed too. I guess the wife and I will have to "rough it" til we can get out of this hot box!

Collin, nice set of "custom headers",flame job,& some "nitrious" & away you go!!! This new one beats the old 811GT Allis i had before, double the HP & fuel consumption, but bigger blower means 1/2 the trips up & down the driveway. The only thing I miss from old one is that it only turned over about 1 turn & was running, this one "cranks" quite a bit before it fires up!! Was told it's the emmissions & new style carb. checked out a few at dealer & they all were the same to start???

There is still a pile of snow out there according to the radar, looks like Michigan is completely covered.
I guess wave #2 is coming.

Just heard that a woman I worked with before got runover by a snowplough about 9:00 am this morning on her way into the office. Crtical condition, crushed pelvis and internal bleeding, has undergone emergency surgery at Sunnybrook Medical Centre in Toronto. Saying a prayer for her.
Hey stay warm and safe you guys out there and NO Old guys overdoing it with shovelling and going up on roofs and such ! ( C2!!) Just talked to my chiropracter and some farmer dude was scooping his shop roof off and the whole thing started to slide taking him down. His shop has 14 foot walls and lucky he landed in a snowbank, got banged up but not too bad !
The Wind and Lightning was pretty Wicked on this side of the lake this morning. I have five foot drifts all around now.Less Lemmings on the QEW though.
