Was a 2 bbl but is 265 HP on the B body cars only.  Was a one year only thing.

I think the thinking behind the big block/2bbl car was similar to the Olds turnpike cruiser or Cutlass SX. Big engine, 2 barrel, and tall gears for hours on the interstate, and reasonably decent gas mileage.

In one of the sellers other ads, he has several going in Calgary, he states the car was from a '09 Barrett-Jackson auction.

Anyone got any historical info on this?

Personally I find the price very reasonable.

Wow $22,000 US $$'s, that price shown at BJ, includes buyers fee.  Then bring it here to Canada GST, A/C tax, etc. At his asking price, which I feel is more than decent, kind of says what has been shared here on this site, about the current market condition.

I would not want to be in the selling position, as I sure it will hurt.  To all those out there with their over priced units & junk, take notice this is a real car at one heck of a deal.....

Totally with you Wayne, currently prices are in the dumpster.

This is one heck of a nice car. I had it pegged in the low 20's range before finding the listing with the price.

The only thing that confuses me is that the engine is advertised both by the seller and Barrett-Jackson as a 396-325.
I think this should be 396-265, that was the only 396 engine available on full size Passenger Chevys in '69.

most base 4bbl 396's were 325 hp     where does it say its a 2bbl?  oh  I know in the brochure  

I love that car  

I just loaned that much x2 to the daughter   .....

What we're saying is the 2 bbl  version was the only 396 available in a full size in 69. The only other BB's were the LS1, L36 and L72 427's. ( I think)

Sweet car and price ! I don't care how original it may be though, for me to drive that baby, it would have a 4 BBL and the two bubble would go on the shelf. I had a 69 Impala 396 2bbl too, I'm ashamed to say GM did that...
