Hey this reminds me of City ofLondon wanting to put 4 giant poles (20grand each) around a salt dome near a a high end golf course. The purpose was to beautify the structure and make it more appealing to the doctors and lawyers when they pass by.

I know Carl that is a big lo$$ on PEI.

Harper is promising (buying votes with) a 400 million dollar arena for Quebec City, and all the Nordique fans are coming out of the woodwork.

About as likely as pigs flying, or world peace, eh?

Q: How do you know when a politician is lying?

A: His lips are moving.

Q: How can you tell that a politician isn't stealing taxpayer money?

A: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha good one!

here,s a true story (1 of many) from my wife, who works for renenue canada. its a dark and gloomy day here in sudbury, about 2 yrs ago. revenue canada gets its usual, bi-weekly bomb threat. all of the 6000 employees have to go outside untill all is good. but its drizzeling outside. a few of the "beauty queens" complained that thier hair got wet. two weeks later, there are new walk in closets installed in the main lobby, that hold 6000 new plastic ponchos! all at our expense! for the olympics, rev canada, here in town bought 50 brand new 60" lcd tv,s and had them all installed throughout the building, for employees to stand around and watch, all on our dime during the olympics. those tv,s are all collecting dust in a utility room in the basement now, you dont even want to know how many , all-day pot luck lunches they have! and its the high paid supervisers that plan these! i can go on and on about the stories i,ve heard, but i,m a lazy typer. you can just imagine what goes on in some of the bigger offices?

i,ll bet nobody is aware of the fact that last year at tax time , here in sudbury, over 60,000 tax refunds were delayed by almost 3 weeks. seems that ottawa did not place a large enough order on the "special" envelopes for refund checks. hows that for priceless?

You  know what I say (since I heard somebody else say it, actually) , politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often and for the same reason!
