Question about 12 bolt diffs.

Just wondering if a 12 bolt diff out of a 67 Impala is the same as a 12 bolt out of a 67 Beaumont. I'm meaning the diff, ring & pinion only not the housing.  I'm pretty sure they are, just need some confirmation of this. Thanks, Kevin

Yes the guts would be the same. Only difference would be  if a series  2, 3 or 4  for the different gear ratios.

I'm not going to buy it, the price is reasonable however its not a posi. I'm looking for a reasonably priced series 3 or 4 12 bolt posi. Here's the link to the diff I was looking at, its in Melfort, SK.

I thought you bought a posi last fall? didn't work out ??

as for housings,, I've crushed 2 B -Bodies in the last year with 12 bolts .....no one spoke up that they were needing one....
