He still race's this car every year. He was not aware of how rare it was. Last time I talked to him he was thinking of putting the Beaumont grill back. At the time I never thought to ask if was a L79 car.  This year I will be asking.  It had 73837 on the cowl tag.

i raced my 68 el camino at Boundary bay . totally stock 396/350 hp , th400, 3:31 gears, it went 13.91 at 103mph

what a great time!
