I Know Everyone Is Sick Of Snow, But ...

Pictures from around our house ...

Just down the road from us.

Back of our house. Not too bad.

Me on top of a 10' snow drift beside our house.

"The Capes". A 15 minute snowshoe behind our house. To say, I used to jump onto icebergs and float around Cobourg (Ontario) harbour when I was a kid ... not here!

It's been snowing steady here since noon today. I'm just going out to snowblow in case it changes over to freezing rain.
We got around 25cms here in Fredericton Friday night, but just down the highway in Oromocto and Base Gagetown they got 49 cms!
We have more snow currently on the ground than I ever remember, and my friends father said the last time he saw it this much on the ground was around 1975 or 76.

Darryl, it looks like you have a big old heat pig for a house too. ($$$)

Ya, Friday we got hit with about the same. What kills us here on the north shore is the wind. It makes 10 cm. into 2 foot drifts easily. We are getting hit as I type this with 10 - 15 cm more (started 3:00 here) ... turning to freezing rain tonight. As Islanders say "More dirty weather". It has been a long time.

150+ year-old farm house. We've been slowly making it more weather-proof. We've gone through 2.5 tanks of oil (approx. $2000.00) so far.
