Looking for a 66 (or 67) Beaumont (or Chevelle) console clock...

Since I have my console apart and the carpet out, I'm thinking it might be a good time to put a clock in the console.  I know there are reproductions out there.  Any originals that are for sale?
thx

As long as it shows the correct time twice a day, that would be a starting point...

Are you aware that the markings/faceplate are not the same as Chevelle? (I think I am right about this.)

I believe the background colour and/or the markings are not the same.

C'mon Beaumont guys, help me out here!

(Or let me sink if I'm totally wrong!)

I believe..... The Beaumont face is dark blue like the cluster... Chevelle is black.

I believe they are different. Background colour only. I have a reproduction one in my car so it has the black background. I will have to check my dad's car out I thought it was more of a dark gray colour but I could be wrong.

I just recently had my original clock out from my 67 Beaumont, it has a different background color. I can send a pic this afternoon if it helps any. Also, I believe that the repro clocks second hand sweeps rather than click, if that matters to anyone.

- - my apologies, I just realized that this thread was for a clock in the console and not the dash. doh

Yeah, the new ones are quartz I believe.  More accurate, but function noticably a little different.
We'll wait for confirmation re the console clock colour.
thx

I know of a 67 Beaumont console. I will try to check tonight if it has a clock and post up if it does.

This is the clock in an origanl 67 beaumont 4 speed console. It is a dark gray. I asked my dad if it was origanally black then faded and he said it has always been the same colour as these pictures show. Sorry if they are not the best the car is in the garage and lighing is not the best.

Hi. I have a couple of clocks from 66 Custom Sports. Look exactly the same as the clock in my 66 Beaumont. Has original Wesclock sticker on back. PM me if interested.

Thanks for taking the time to do that!  Interesting.  So the only noticeable difference is that the background is a "dark gray" vs a "black" on the Chevelle?

thx again.

PS  Always great to see a 4 speed console!

Thanks for the feedback.  I assume that all of these part numbers are still console clocks and not the dash clock?

thx again.

What about the chrome trim around the clock on the 4speed console? Would that also be on an auto console? and if so is that trim available??

I'd be interested in a clock for mine too...since I'd like to put in a dash tach, I'd probably settle for a repro! My console is black, so the black face would look o.k.

My understanding (as it is the case on my console) is that the circular filler plate is seated on the top of the hole, while the clock is sits at the bottom, and that the material in between is already chromed (just not visible with the filler plate covering it).  Is that what you were asking?  (I'll try to post a picture later tonight.)

Per the attached you can see how it sits on the top.  As you can see from the underside, the whole section is chromed.  I assume it might be chrome underneath the blue paint?  (I'll try to get a shot from the top with the plate removed...)IMGP0018.JPGIMGP0019.JPGIMGP0020.JPG

I have a repro tach in my car. The only complaint I have is if you are driving in the dark the lighting is a little off compared to the rest of the cluster. The chrome is already in your console, it's just covered by the emblem. I went with a reproduction clock as well.
