I've paid more for a '66 grille. (Not that I'm proud of it!)

Fix what? It looks like the market is setting the price.
somewhere I read that we are not to comment negatively on another member's item for sale-including price
let the market set the price-lets not interfere unless asked
a low offer is different
an opinion of value if requested is different
I'm sure if you posted your car for sale for $20,000 and I said a little steep I bought one last year for $6000 you wouldn't like it
At first I might be upset but if I was a serious seller it would be good to know where the market is. I might not be happy but at least I would know what people are willing to pay. I think a offer of 60.00 would be more correct and he would defend his offer because he would state that he bought one this year for the same amount. Really it isn't different but if it makes people happy so be it.
I bought a nice set of dinning room chairs from this guy on saturday-I've had this dinning set for 12 years and always wanted a couple spare chairs-I got 4 for $100 !
I was at an estate auction on sunday to purchase a grandfather clock and got a super deal on a complete dinning set with six chairs !
guess who wants to sell the chairs he bought and possibly the previous dinning table and chairs !
