When I was 18 I had a 1967 Ford XL, 428 Convertible. Black bucket seat interior, console,
robin's egg blue exterior with black top. About 2 years ago I seen the exact same car (1 of 327)
at the Duffy's website in Iowa, listed for $28,000.

When I was 17 I bought a 1 of 31 1967 Caprice with a factory 427. I had lots of people wanting to buy it but never gave it up.

..........and you still have it?

Some types of shelving are more expensive than those from Canadian Tire but much prettier to look at!

This may or may not be relative. Back in '87 when I lived in Vancouver I had an over achieving girl friend (in real estate). We were in 7/11 and she suggested we buy a lotto ticket. We did. She asked what I would do if we won. I said I'd buy new seat covers for the Beaumont. That was probably the beginning of the end (luckily.)

If someone was to offer me $5000 for my Anaconda gold 1972 Pontiac Luxury Lemans Sport Coupe 400, 1 of 33 built in Oshawa Ontario project, I'd let it go too... It has tuxedo interior ie. white buckets / console, black dash / carpet and turbo 400, 12 bolt 3.31.

Well Doug if you want to move east I can do a special price on the entire package.

Hmmm, let me see. I live right on the ocean, a small community of 18,000 people.
Virtually no major crime, as we are only accessible by ferry or plane (what are they
gonna do, steal your car and wait in a ferry lineup, lol). 5 hrs away from one of the
biggest cities in Canada (Vancouver) and they never drive up this way, lol, they always
head east, so no transients hogging the roads.........and it was almost 20 degrees in the sunshine today...........I think I'll have to pass, but thanks for the offer.......however,
if you ever decide to move west........give me a call, lol..........ttys.

Doug, if you think you can't get rid of anything, maybe you should be on "Hoarder's" [just kidding] but it can get out of hand. One of the 2 68 69 GTO's here in town is a rag top, "buried" in the garage under newspapers & vinegar jugs!!!  Owner won't throw out the papers or jugs as "HE MAY NEED THEM SOMEDAY" thats a BAD sign. Other GTO Judge is sinking into the mud on property behind us,What a shame was a nice car, getting worse every yr. sitting outside while owners new "TOY" a Harley, sits in the garage??  DUH!!!!

I have always said that everything is for sale for a price. I think that most of us fortunately have not been put into a situation where we have to sell our toys.
I have built and sold a lot of cars over the years and have no regrets. I love building cars and always have another car waiting to build. Sometimes selling one if how to finance the next "must have" car.
I love all kinds of cars and wish I could have a collection but alas I can't see it happening soon.........

I figure I'm stuck with this car. I can't imagine anyone offering to buy a 1973 LeMans.  Everybody just walks past it like it's invisible at cruise ins. I just use it as my free ticket in so I can look at the real cars there.

know how ya feel Ray, the 55 gmc is my ticket to get into cruises and such. i've been asked to sell many times but i put a really stupid high price on it. i figure if they are that stupid to spend that much, i'm that stupid to sell. what i should add is that i always wanted a mid 50's gmc short box stepside with a small back window and a v8 since i was a knee high. the other toys in the stable will come and go this ones the keeper.

Ray, there's nothing wrong with your car, I was quite "impressed" with it last summer on our Hamilton get together. I love to "people" watch at shows & cruises, watch them walk right by the 64 Catalina & bee line it to a Red Chevelle, others just look at european cars, & when I see someone heading right at my car I know it's a "PONCHO" Lover & they are few & far between

i gotta say ray, i,m not into mainstream cars either. i,ll stop and take a peek at a colonade car, way before looking at the gto beside it. thats one of the reasons i sold my charger, and bought the parisienne. things are cooler when you dont see too many. your car rocks ray!
