Will the 4 barrel Q Jet on my stock 301 fit the 1974 intake on the 350 I'm having rebuilt?

as long as it is a spread bore, which most likely it is

yes, cause its a spread bore, providing your intake on your 350 is a spread bore as well. do you know the difference betweena spread bore and a square bore? if not its easy. on a spread bore, the 4 "barrels" are 2 diff. sizes. the primarys will be smaller than the secondaries. on a square bore, all 4 "barrels" are the same size. almost all q jets are spread bore carbs. even if it didnt fit, there is an adapter to make it fit. you,re good to go.
ps. make sure you buy a new carb base gasket.

If intake is stock it will be a spreadbore. Here is the business end of a Rochester Quadrajet spreadbore carb......

I just did some quick reads on the 301 carb. Mind you it was High Perfomance Pontiac but they say no no to any performance application because it was a computer assisted carb. It will fit.
