I like this little car......if it was for sale on my street....it would be mine just cuz.  I have no idea if it is as rare as the seller thinks, makes little difference to me, I like the body style and price. I see the jack is probably keeping her level.

Info. on this car:

1966

The Rebel name reappeared in 1966 on a version of the Rambler Classic two-door hardtop.

This model featured bucket seats, special interior and exterior trim, as well as a revised roofline. The base price of this top-of-the-line model was US$2,523 with the standard 232 cu in (3.8 L) I6; however, more sports oriented options were available that included a manual four-speed floor-mounted transmission, dash mounted tachometer, as well as the 327 cu in (5.4 L) V8 producing 270 bhp (200 kW) for only an extra $65. This effort moved AMC once again toward the muscle car market segment; however the Rebel was criticized for its antiquated torque tube suspension system.

Total production of the Rebel model was 7,512.

Hawkesbury is about an hour east of Ottawa along old highway 17 the Montreal Road. I think I saw the same car or at least one extremely similar about 20 years ago for sale on a small lot on Hunt Club road in South Ottawa. It was $1,500 then! $100 inflation in 20 years ain't bad!

A guy in our town had a 1968 Rebel, I was in high school then. He gave me a ride, it had the 390 in it, top speed was 140 mph, which he did with me in it. I was impressed!
