That has been my experience too. # 1 spot in the F bodies I have owned is under the rear seat. Have found one under the carpet in front of the rear seat. I'm pretty sure I have a few copies of 80 build sheets, I'll scan them for you. If it's a Canadian sold car you can get a GM Vintage done on it, If not you can get a PHS on it.

when I owned my 76 Trans Am over 25 yrs ago, it was under the rear seat., Found it when I replaced the carpet.
