i bought some electronic cutouts at a swap meet but i dident get the wires with it so i have to make my own. Thats a nice exhaust setup, bet it sounds great!!
I knew someone with these on a 396 Camaro. They were awesome. No leaks until the switch popped them open, whisper quiet, well not really, then when open it was like they was a Cup car at your beckon call.
I love 'em, I would put them on te LeMans but they cost more than the car is worth.
Carl I think they can leak for sure . I have a bit of a leak already but I did not use RTV on the gaskets as they suggest to as I hate the stuff. I think I will redo it though with RTV and see if my chirp goes away.
Crazy J, heres some pics of the car before and after a light resto, and yes its pretty cool you can just flip a switch and it sounds RAW !!
I am so surprised how quiet this GTO is when it is un corked. I would have thought that there would be a lot more noise un corked. Interesting. Cheers. George.

Your son must be pretty proud of his ride, I've always liked the El camino's. When I was in high school in Red Deer there was a burgundy Camino with a 396/402 running around, not sure what year it was maybe 67-69.
yes he is pretty excited about his ride. He ordered the cutouts on-line and couldnt wait to get them installed. Its neat to see young people excited about this sport for sure.
