I actually replied saying..."it's your lucky day" and gave credit for the site for spreading the word that he needed the info... nice to see another SD getting restored and back on the road!!
That's excellent Andrew, I had mentioned this site to the owner.
Trevor will be very appreciative for the info, the car is coming along real well, he's going back to a 4 speed car, it's automatic at the moment, checked with the Tin Man for a bell housing but he sold his last one a week or so ago but is on the search for another one, never even thought of kijiji. I should have known someone on here would have the dimensions, me bad. I'll be talking to Trevor tommorow so we'll see how it went.
Trevor being a restorer keeps a picture log of the vehicles he does so I will ask him if Garett will let him share the pictures and data plate.
Hi Gerry, I'll leave the contact to you... Trevor passed along Garetts email to me, but I'm sure someone will be more likely to share info with someone they know! I'm known to be a bit sketchy!!hahaha!!
Nonetheless I gave him the dimensions of all of the SD chrome, off my drivers side, which is all original untouched sheet metal... bad emblem placement is a pet peeve of mine!!
One day if i'm in the area, i'll pop in at his place, looks like he has some nice projects make their way though there!
The following is now posted on Kijiji. (Nothing we didn't already know.):
Hi, We are just two minutes off the Q. E. 2 highway near the Burnt Lake Ind Park west side of Red Deer. Special thanks to every one (Pontiac nuts)who have helped with templates and measurements for emblem placements, and all the parts we needed for our 67 Beaumont Sport Deluxe project. Car people rule!
