OK, this thread is the response I mentioned in previous threads concerning fund raising for Johnathan. All of these items are for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to fund Johnathans 67 Pontiac project. I see his determination and see him as the future of our hobby. If you are in a position to help, please do, it would be much appreciated. Please see below for ways you can get involved. I will bump this thread each Monday with new items, the high bids at that time will be the winners. I will cover all shipping within Canada. If anyone has any questions, or negative comments, please PM me. All donations will be consolidated here.
So far we have secured an engine, some cash has been promised, chrome valve covers, breather, and body mounts. If I missed something, please remind me.
How you can help 1. Donate cash (please send directly to Johnathan or paypal to dixieboxer@hotmail.com - subject JOHNATHAN) 2. Donate items for sale (send me quality pictures and description, keep the item until it is sold. ) 3. Donate usuable 67 Pontiac Parts (directly to Johnathan) 4. Donate labor - hands on help in the GTA, or paint booth time..etc.. 5. Chime in with suggestions knowledge and encouragement....word of mouth goes a long way!
If you bid please indicate item# and amount. Johnathan - please notify me of anything you receive as a result of this endeavor(unless donor asks to be anonymous), and I understand this is an awkward position for you to be in, but please keep us updated with your obstacles, and what color you intend to paint your car. Also, if you decide to pull the plug on your project at any time, please let us know.
The leaders are as follows: 1 - Bill 2 - Terry 3 - Mike 4 - Darryl 5 - Brian 6 - Doc
Thank you so much! I will post one more batch of 'treasures' next Monday, the leaders when I log on around 0700 will be the winners. I will post instructions then.
Johnathan - Please ensure Mom is cool with this. (I had visions of her thinking this car thing would blow over by now)
Big Ray - UncleBernie has located a 305 at a good price. If you can supply the parts you mentioned, or have access to them at a good price, I'm sure they'd be put to good use!

Oh my! I am overwhelmed by the reponse. I know its just a steel object, but this will have a lasting impact on a fine young man. What a great bunch here.
THANKS RAY!

Just received cash via PAYPAL - Not sure if it was intended to be anonymous....so I wont say who it is, but his name starts with Elroy. Thank you Elroy.....you ARE the man.
(Johnathan, I may have to hit you up for a loan when this is all over!)
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
ooooh. Dave and Terry didnt see Darren in their rearview with the hammer down! He took the lead on the backstretch! Only to overshoot the turn, Darren took advantage and is back in the lead! #2
East York Darryl - That is fantastic, I think this is where the 'end date' on the project could move way up. Once we get all the parts and cash together and Johnathan is ready, we can just keep removing the obstacles. More to follow on this one! If you could convince anyone to go with you, we could make quick work out of that old girl. Its amazing what a group can accomplish compared to one man. Johnathan is going to let me know what is next on the horizon. I told him not to let my/our enthusiasm push him past what he is comfortable with. He is the project manager, I'm just a helper.
Dave & Staff at TIN MAN AUTO - Dave and his staff are impressed with our endeavour and have joined 'the team'. He has offered to provide parts for this project where possible. This is just too cool. I think I've left the planet that I am used to, and entered the twilight zone! Thanks Dave & Staff!
Darren has regained the lead with a great splash-and-go pit. Now has a slight lead! Word has it that Dave has a nitrous bottle under the hood, and his finger is on the trigger!
$65 on #2. Nitrous!!! Ha, I haven't kicked the four barrels in yet. But just to be safe money wise I am holding off on paying for my once in a lifetime holiday to Africa until at least next monday afternoon.
