When I lived in Saskatchewan and my dog ran away I could see it running  for 2 days.  O.K where are we here. $90.00. on #2. This may help feed a crew of car restorers for a day or two.

Wow....I missed some action since I was away.

Darren & Dave have been duking it out swapping paint, but I think Terry was sandbagging it and has lots of throttle left, and knows he can dip into some horsepower anytime, relying on sheer displacement! Darren pulled his famous "walk the doggy" move at the hairpin and took the lead! Dave wasnt having any of it...had to open all four barrels and put them both in his rearview!

All fun aside - this is excellent. I received an email from a 'donor' who is a race fan. He is going to match the high bid on item 2# on closing. Thanks guys!

Darren, Dave and Terry went 3 wide into Tarzan corner, nobody would give an inch....the crowd expected a wreck! Darren was very late on the brakes but dove to the inside and held his line forcing the competition to back off a little. Darren now has the lead, and the others are wondering if its worth trying to reel him in, given the fact that he shows no signs of going easy on them with half of the race behind them!

I am not sure why the least value item has the most interest, but who cares, this is great for the cause! The current leaders are below. (If I make a mistake or miss a bid, someone please remind me)

Brian ps my wife wants to bid on your avatar 10.00 lol The vintage glass rad cap ornament replica was made by the Guernsey Glass Co, and is one of my favorite collectibles. It will be in the second and last batch of treasures next Monday, it would be great if you would permit her to bid on it ;)

1 - Bill $75
2 - Darren $100 (I might have to frame this key soon!)
3 - Mike $30
4 - PEI Darryl - $45
5 - Brian - $20
6 - Doc - $55.75

THANK YOU ALL!

Dave and Darren are burnin' fuel and laying down rubber I see! Its anybodys guess whose strategy will bring them to the finish line. Good ole brute force is blazing his own trail in the lead, Terry is still on the lead lap, and Dave appears to hvae something up his sleeve. Word on the street is that there is a mystery competitor who is miles behind, but setting lap records, and expects to steal the show at the line. He thinks he has the key to winning this race?!

DAVE my apologies on the missing bid on #6. Its $69!

Thanks for all the new support. I get a new level of disbelief every day that this goes on. If I were to try this on another site, I'd likely get 5 posts......4 from me and a confused guy from Thailand. I am a firm believer that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. This is truley the exception. CP members rule! (...and they have the nicest cars on the planet!) Colin is in! Thank You!

Damn I just  twisted my drive shaft off with all this raw big block power. So Darren looks like you may get that key ring after all. But to be a good sport I will still donate $100.00 for the resto. That should put the key ring at $360.00 up to this point. But beware, this may not be the end. I just may have another drive shaft.

$65 on #2. furious  Nitrous!!! Ha, I haven't kicked the four barrels in yet. But just to be safe money wise I am holding off on paying for my once in a lifetime holiday to  Africa until at least next monday afternoon. wink

I know it was said in humor with the bids on the key!!! But, are you planning a trip to Africa? It was an experience of a lifetime for me, I will go back when I retire again for vacation.

OK I almost got emotional and mushy, but I'm going to be a man and go away and come back when that rediculous foreign feeling goes away. I'm humbled by everyone involved.
