Well Buffalo won tonight and ended the hopes of Leaf fans. We have one of the top 3 recirds since the All Star beak but it's not good enough. Lots of exciting hockey played here in the past three months and we found our Saviour.....a great kid from Manitoba !
So sad to see it happen to the Leafs. I used to watch them every week on HNIC out of TO. I remember Davey Keon, Norm Ullman, Bjorn Salming, Inge Hammerstrom, Mike Palmateer, Paul Henderson (one of my all-time favorites)... TO deserves some good hockey. That kid goalie, Reimer, looks pretty good. I really hope he isn't a flash in the pan.
But being a Sabres fan since 1970... Well, I am glad we are close to making the playoffs.

Glad it's over with, & they were put out of their "MISERY" gave it a good shot from what I understand,[not a hockey fan] but the seasons too long to begin with. Back when there was 6 teams the playoff would have been over by now, I know showing my age!!!!!

Phaneuf has a Summer home just down the road from me (his family has Island roots).
His girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert comes for visits quite often, see her going out for walks ...
