I obtained a program for the upcoming auction in TO ..........interesting highly optioned GTO going for no reserve......any guesses ? (image might come upsideways .....maybe someone can rotate it for me ?) my guess is $38,000
If that is the auction at the International Centre it is very good and tons of fun. You can pick up some nice daily drivers for cheap plus see some top dollar classic cross the block. You can get up close and personal with the cars too. It's well worth the price of admission.

It looks good, it will be interesting to see what it goes out at. Perhaps another tell-tale sign of the times. Could be a market adjustment victim......hmmm.
When is it. Some of the cars are quite nice. But some of the cars are GOOD FROM A FAR ,BUT FAR FROM GOOD. Some people paint cars put new tires(red lines), emblems and stickers and want good money for them.I will see if its any better this year.
We're going with friends on Sunday to look. Haven't been to the auctions in a few years. I doubt that I would ever buy through an auction, preferring to deal one on one with the owner. Auctions aren't always as they appear.
I just came from the sale. Rude awakening for the sellers. Lotsa reserves pulled to sell. Lotsa what looked like good deals. 47 ford hot rod $8700 sold had 20k reserve. Incredible 74 z28 at 13. 37 pontiac 13. 83 sl benz 3700. Orig paint L82 4 speed Corvette 8500 LT1 96 caddy 1300. Cameo pick up 16. 911 targa 6000
goat went for 37,400..........56 meteor rag 99,000 .......not bad for a Canadian car !.......must be a happy seller.....
those prices include the 10 percent buyers premium so the GTO s bid on the block is 33700 the owner paid 600 to run it at that time and a 10 perecent selling fee so he/she got a little above 29700

that's sad !!!........someone who didn't even get their hands dirty raped the owner !!now the new owner ,also raped by the auction co. has to get a sales tax appraisal, probably a saftey inspection , no "E" test, then bend over for the government for HST.......SAD !!!!!

Well- I'd have to say "raped" is a harsh word-- I'm sure the seller must be somewhat aware of the potential results selling at no reserve-if he/she wanted more they could put a reserve on it-but the market is the best judgement as to its true value, as for the fees both the buyer and the seller were made aware of the fees prior to the sale/bidding and we all know about the taxes
I see the 66 SS396 Chevelle convertible sold @ $27400 with the 10 percent buying fee-so thats around $25,000 bid less the 10 percent selling fee netting $22,500---------hmmm good deal ???
