If I had the guts it would be a perfect time to take the Trans Am out on the highway! 8 miles of abandoned 4 lane highway, closed right up at each end but I have access to it from a side road!

Whoops!!! Guess not!!! The RCMP crew cab just came up on camera from the far side of the bridge (closed portion of the highway!)

confuse I thought my camera image was frozen. Then a bird flew by!

That's my neighbour's truck parked on the bridge. Obviously he didn't want to drive the 20 miles in to town for his morning coffee. He just drove the 3 1/2 miles and walked a few blocks to the coffee shop!

Nice to see he's not parking his butternut yellow 67 SD396 4 speed in the water!!!

Tried it, seems the camera is not updating or is the river not up to the bridge yet ?

Been following the "flood cams"

Checked it yesterday at noon only to see a certain 67 butternut car parked on the bridge!    Must have been making a coffee run or somthing.

Good thing its not still parked there today, or it would be under water!

Yes, great video but WAY overboard dramatizing the narration. Watch their videos, ask me for the facts!!!

He took the long way around for breakfast this morning, I saw the Beaumont heading home around 8:30!

I didn't even have the sound on, just wanted to see it, I knew they'd mess it up. Of course I'd only come to you for the real story.wink

How much higher does it have to go till you have to start boating?

Just tried the camers, but a note says "due to flood work, the camera has been shut down"

Rats, that sucks. I guess I will have to do some updates with mine each day. Tonight may be an issue as I have to revamp my sewage ejector and switch it over to flood mode to prevent it possibly backing up into our septic tank.

I expect we will be boating tomorrow night or Saturday sometime, depending on how it rises.

I started a Flood 2011 thread/blog so that non members can see it, unlike posting in the lounge where only CP members can see it.
