'68 Impala Fastback 9800 Miles

Even with a 'Canadian Pontiac chassis' it's still waaaaaaay overpriced but probably a beautiful example if an original 9800 mile car..

That is a great example of  the typical car purchased back then. Almost a museum piece.

I guess the question is then, what is the price on a brand new 1968 Chevy Impala run of the mill hardtop?

I agree with Ray.  Perhaps it is a run-of-the-mill model, but in this case condition is paramount. To some it's a regular old Impala, but to others it's a valuable piece of history.

9000-mile '68 Impala... I bet there can't be more than a handful left in like-new condition as this one is.  What is a time capsule Chevy worth?  They are only original once...

if  its really that nice, id include a ton of underside and interior pics and ebay it

casting a wider net for those wanting a time capsule, be intersting to see what

something that original would fetch

The paint is still shinning in the recent photos and it sounds like they have every bit of documentation right down to the warranty plate and seats are still covered. On mileage it would still be covered under warranty if there wasn't  "which ever occurs first clause" ! I have no idea what it is worth, he could have priced it a $75,000 and I still wouldn't know what to say. confuse

While the price is up there, it is not completely unreasonable.   How much do some guys spend on body work and end up with a car less solid than this?   I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered $15-20K.

I like it and appreciate the value of the low mileage but I do think the price is too high. For me at least, but I would not be surprised if it finds a willing buyer. It's like a new car.

What does one get today for thirty? A new appliance like, white with grey cloth seat, 4 banger Camaccord to be driven to oblivion?

From this view, that car is a time capsule that todays popular cars will never be. I wish I had stupid money.

Low mile Orig Paint Survivor Cars are always a tough call! You have to market it properly and find The Right Guy!
Advertising it in Windsor .....won't get the job done. (( need CAN // US National Exposure ))
If it is a MINT Museum piece, in out and under with absolutely no hint of rust ....low $20's Max
1968 not a great year and 307 hurts big time, and it is a Plain Jane....if no air that will certainly kill it for most USA guys!
I like it but too many other cars out there if you jump over $25,000 especially in this Tough Market!!
I wish it was a '65 ....I would be on it!

BUT.......if you find a guy who had one ....and wants another ....maybe ...just maybe you get top $$$$$$

tough call-if its that good maybe

I recall Jim with a 63 327 A/c 6000 miles 5 years ago asking 28000
