Proper location for seat emblems on a 66 Beaumont?...

I'm just about to re-do the skins on my seats.  Hoping someone might be able to chime in as to the proper hieght to install the little seat emblems?  (My seats were re-done once before, years ago, so I'm not convinced that they are currently mounted in the proper location.)

thx

I'm in the process of doing the skins also. I did the passenger bucket seat and it looks not too bad.

I have a photo of the original bucket before I worked on it so it shows the factory location of the seat emblem. Hope this helps.

Thx for the feedback. I ended up finding the following info re the Chevelle seats (which I'm sure is the same as the Beaumont):
Front buckets: 8 inches from the top of the medallion to the top of the seat piping... Rear bench: 12" from the top seam to the top of the emblem.

Can anyone confirm that the back bench seat in 1966 is supposed to have the emblems vertically aligned as in the picture above?

Mine are horizontally aligned, and I believe that is for 1967, as my bench is from a 1967 and I want to get it recovered and emblems in the right place for 1966.

I'll get some pictures & measurements tomorrow.

I'm 99% sure mine are original - but I haven't owned it since new so can't be 100%.

Just checking, you're for info on the rear seat - right?

66 rear is indeed as shown in the brochure.  My understanding is that they are identical to the Chevelle and that the measurements that many Chevelle owners believe to be true is Front buckets: 8 inches from the top of the medallion to the top of the seat piping... Rear bench: 12" from the top seam to the top of the emblem.

Hi and thanks!

To clarify, my front do look like the pics that have been posted, it is the rear I am curious about.

My car is a 1966 Beaumont 2 Door Sedan.

My back bench seat emblems are horizontally aligned, and I believe that is supposed to be for 1967, as my bench is from a 1967 Chevelle and I want to get it recovered and emblems in the right place for 1966 Beaumont that it is.

So to simplify, does anyone have any pics of a 1966 rear bench seat?

Here are a couple pictures of mine. Geoff (o3cts sport) is bang on at 12 inches - but I don't have a top seam. I measured from where the seat meets the back sill. I felt in between the seat and sill but the seat cover folds around the back of the seat frame and I could not feel a seam or piping.

Ooops.  I never considered that.  I do have a visible seam because I don't have a rear deck (convertible.)
