radio

I have a 62' Pontiac with an AM radio that works fine. I do want to listen to FM also, so the plan was go to the wreckers and get a radio. I did that picking a radio from a mid 80's Buick Century.  But went I look at the back of the radio there are fourteen wires....I was hoping for one hot wire and some speaker wires.  Is there any hope this radio can be used in my older car?   Thanks  Doug
