RE: Changing jobs

But the most important question is, will they let you read Canadian Poncho at work???!!!

I made a potato gun two years ago. Definitely a big boy toy. I tried it out on my shed, and it went right through! I made the barrel a little too large, its hard to find potatoes large enough.

Congrats Todd! .......Big changes in 2011!, all the best.

 Plenty of ammo here! biggrin

We used to make soup can cannons (soup cans & duct tape). We used a tennis ball as ammo and lighter fluid as fuel. Kaboom!

I bet you can hit Todd, Tiny, or a Ram pick up.wink

Oh yea.....maybe I scored a new ammo dealer! Same concept as the soup can and tennis ball, except the combustion chamber is 10x bigger, and the fuel is hairspray, and ignition is electric. I was canoeing a couple years ago when two fine young men(friends of mine) on the shore put their beer down and grabbed their potato guns and aimed in my direction and let them fly. I encouraged it by saying they couldnt hit a barn, but I was so impressed that they could actually reach me and then some, that I went online and got some ideas and showed up about a week later with my cannon. You should have seen the looks on their faces when potatoes started smashing onto their beachfront. I know its childish, but when you are too old to play, you already have 1 foot in the grave! (I dont recommend firing one of these in the direction of people) Sorry to get so far off topic.

Congratulations Todd on the new job! No doubt we will see you at all the weekend car shows and local cruises! Have you heard what night A&W cruise will be at Ingersoll? Bob.

I used to work for a Chrysler dealer about 10 years ago so I have a pretty good recollection as to what they are like. This store is the second highest seller of Dodge trucks in Ontario so I will be exposed to a lot of Rams. I'm actually considering buying a bicycle to ride to work on nice days.

I like the idea of the bicycle....perhaps a poncho?

So I thought I'd be a hero and buy myself a bike to ride to work on nice days. I picked up a Schwinn "Commuter" 21 speed bike. Nice light frame. It even has a cupholder! Well, lets just say it's been more years than I care to remember since I've been on a bicycle. I strapped on the helmet and decided to go for a ride. The 3k ride to work should be a breeze. Well 5 minutes into my practice run my legs felt like concrete and I was out of breath. With 21 gears I still couldn't find an easy gear to get up the damn hills in this town! I turned around and somehow managed to pedal home. That was 25 minutes ago and I'm still sweating.  And to think when I was 12 I rode EVERYWHERE.

I guess more practice is needed hmm

I could cheat and buy one of these kits confuse

bike3s.jpg

I could pedal away and when I'm out of my wifes line of site fire up the two stroke!

Keep ridin the bike. After a week or two it will be all downhill. Now you just have to stay away from the new A&W at the corner!

Get out there and ride that bike. Don't buy that engine. Use that money to reward your bike riding. Buy car parts or ice cream!

I have one of these kits-I bought it on e-bay a few years back was going to put it on my 4oth anniversary Tim Horton's beach cruiser bike--both are still in boxes ! I have a nice mountian style bike I bought at the Barrie flea new but I work too far from home now 20km (well maybe I could ride and get back the cougar like figure) (always sorry I sold the 12 speed racer at the garage sale !) just ride Todd !

 Off topic again!biggrin

We used to shoot our "soup can cannon" at a guy in full goalie gear in a net. This cannon would shoot a tennis ball up into the air, out of eyesight! He couldn't even react to the shot, and the shots (tennis ball) went right through the net. Young & dumb.no Who know what would have happened if the ball nailed him!

Actually each Chrysler dealer has to obtain a license to sell FIAT and it's a huge chunk of money. The dealer I am going to is not going to sell Fiat. Their bread and butter is the Dodge Ram. They are the 2nd largest seller of Dodge Trucks in Ontario.
