That is a nice sentiment Tim, however when I look down the lineup of the Canucks I see only a handful of Canadians playing on that team, same for Montreal.

In Ryan Kesler's post game interview he said that he "never wanted a game more in his life than this one" a clear reference to losing the Gold Medal to Canada at the Olympics in that very rink.

Roberto Luongo said " This is bigger than the Gold medal game"  of course he has an American wife.

TRIVA: Name the last Stanley Cup winning team to be comprised solely of Canadians.

16,600,000 people watched the Gold Medal Game with 80% of all Canadians saying they at least watched some of it which would be in excess of 24,000,000.

Hockey Night in Canada averages 569,000 viewers and the HNIC record is 2,251,000 watching a Toronto and Ottawa game.
