I have a bunch of vintage tachs and gauges too. Mostly old Sun stuff. It's not hoarding. I call it sickness.

You're not hoarding, you're just a good Boy Scout. Isn't the motto "Always be prepared" or something like that?

Sorry   but you are hoarding...   no problem as long as you can see TV and get to the bed

It's not hoarding...it's keeping quality Items bunched in no particular order in case of future need or reflection!!!

1966 would have seen more Stewart Warner or Sun tachs with the transmitters. Any of the ones I have dated that early were one or the other. Later 60's would have been specific to voltage and number of cylinders. Sun was the Super Tach.

any truth to something I read about SUN tachs,, even max RPM # is electronic,  odd # requires the trigger box?  you have some of each there...

I wish it was that easy. Some ST model tachs needed a transmitter and some didn't. The same with the SST model tachs. The RPM didn't make any difference. The two shown in the pictures are both 10K, one needs a transmitter and one doesn't.

Late 50's and early 60's Sun tachs were  RC or FC and all required transmitters.

That tach is not adjusted correctly, The redline is way to low. LOL.   I might even have one of those dixco tach's laying around as well, came out of my 64. Comment was made about the Andretti tach.
