I think a moment of silence is in order.....a 396 even. Maybe if it was actually in the barn, it would outlast the stubborn one!

"I first saw this '66 Beaumont 396 Convertible about 25 years ago. It was still worth saving, and covered with a tarp back then. Over the years I've kept asking if it was for sale. The owner always told me it belonged to his daughter and that she planned on restoring it someday. Unfortunately, its still there, rusting into the ground."

Yeah, you can see the tarp by the firewall. Even it has decomposed...

Looks to have been a red car before blue. Still might be worth the effort since it is so rare of a car.

That picture has been around for awhile. Many people have tried to buy it. That one is a re-body and if you do that to a 67 SD rag big block it would devalue it. To bad eh?

What a waste!!!!!People don't realize that once they're gone-they're gone.Sell them well there is still something to salvage or restore. It's like life-we only get one turn on this merry go round. My 2 cents.......... That's why I sold my '68 Acadian with 80k mi on it.I knew I wouldn't finish it in this life time. I'm a realist. Remember: "Common sense is a Myth based on the Assumption that everyone has the same training,Life experiences, and would use the same thought process to reach the same conclusion"

I might be interested in trying to save this car if its that rare-if someone knows the owner or they are a member can pass my information I would consider paying $1500-$2000 for it, depending on if its the correct engine and if its seized or not

The "common sense"  statement is excellent.  Very wise. I hadn't heard it expressed that way.  i guess that meaning of common is not that its plentiful but that all things that go into thinking would have been  commonly experienced.
