Just got home to find out the tree in front of my house was chopped down
by the city. My 50 year old healthy maple that gave me shade is gone!
No warning, no notice or permits.....
I'm livid but at 2 in the morning what can I do???????
Winds took down many trees in my area. Roads shut down with fallen trees and hydro wires. Tracktor trailer flipped right in front of the wife on The QEW. Her and 2 other guys pulled him out the broken front window of the truck. I have 7 soft maples on my lot and only lost a few branches. They are 50 + years old.
My Mom has been trying for at least 10 years to get a 50 year-old rotted Maple, that is on town property in front of her house, taken down, with no luck.

Not that it'll make any difference now, but was it on your property or city property? I'd be livid too.

Wait til the city starts the tree trimming, then spray paint a big orange X on the tree and the tree will soon be down. It's happened before.
