Well, I finally got myself a 65 Beaumont. I know a bunch of you guys have seen the red Beaumont for sale in Edmonton for quite some time, but for a running car for under $4500, I couldn't pass it up. My buddy and I drove up from Calgary this past weekend to take a look. After checking it out and making the deal, we loaded her on the trailer for our trip back. WOW! When we went to the gas station to fill'er up, I got tonnes of comments. "I used to have one of those when I was younger. Best car I ever owned!", "I see you boys are gonna have fun this summer!" Then while on the road, one guy almost hit the ditch while giving us a double thumbs up, and then there were rubber neckers like crazy, all the way to my door step. Over all she's in pretty good shape, and pretty solid. He showed me pics of the body work done before its last paint job, and is a pretty straight car. She will need a bit of work, like trunk corners, and new lower quarters, but I'll wait til fall to do that stuff. I'm just gonna cruise around this summer and enjoy her.......maybe I'll throw in that 350 of mine to make it more fun. I've also got my eye on 4 wheel disc brakes and air ride, so we'll see how ambitious I am. I'll snap some photos tonight and post'em soon.

Oh, and the "dingo balls" were the first thing to be thrown out!!
