You realize of course that those hood scoops came directly from the Ford parts bin. They were used on Super Duty gas V8-powered conventional trucks beginning with the 1958 F800 right through the 1969 F & T850, plus the odd rare h.d. F800 from the 1970s through 1979.

They should not be bringing in the money that people are getting for them.

Yep, we saw one on a truck on our Manitoba yard tour. Probably could have bought it for 20 bucks

hello there,

It is a really nice scoop and I would like to buy one for my 62 Catalina I am gonna restore.

where and how much should I pay for that scoop.

i have been turn down by a ford guy in a very unsportman like matter. I thought that in this hobby we should be kind of helping each hobbyist to keep it alive.

Thanks

Daniel

 Hi Dan,

This reddish coloured scoop is (maybe was) in a Manitoba wrecking yard in May 2011. Carl S. might know of the yard's contact info. You can private message him at this link: http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/m802993/profile/

You tell the Ford guys that they can't have any Corvair taillights for their Ford GTs, if we can't have any Ford dump truck scoops for our Pontiacs!biggrin

Hello Pontiacanada !

It's very kind of you to give me those infos for the scoop. I am sending an e-mail to Carl S. right now.

As for that Ford fella, I don't know if it is worth the hastle but thanks for the suggestion,

Dan

I had forgotten that one! I got your email. I will try to call that guy. I forget which truck it's on but the yard is small and I have an idea where it is, yes.

Yes I have mine (the white one) Pete, but I am keeping it.

The one in red primer is long gone.
