The lighting in my dash of my 62 StratoChief seemed a little poor so I attempted to replace some bulbs. Some bulbs were burned, but in some cases there were no sockets. I could put my finger in the hole where the socket would go. Am I able to purchase replacement sockets?
Most Canadian tire stores haver a wide range of lamp and bulb sockets, usually out on the shelves so you can sort through them to find something suitable.

Be sure you feel around behind the dash. The sockets may have just fallin out and still be attached to the wire back there. Unless your '62 has a printed circuit which I doubt.

Excellent comment jc!!! What about the possibility that the socket holes are just there in case of an option that was not installed and would have needed to be lit up if it had have been installed........ consider that a possibility too. I do like the fall out idea though, it's probably more correct.......

Same thought I had. Try to shine a light from the back through each hole and see what it's actually for. It may not be a necessary bulb.
