Is calling a Pontiac engine a Big Block a Canadian thing ? If so I can understand how that would get started given that most Canadian cars got Chevy small blocks. It was very common growing up to hear Blue Block vs Orange block to differentiate the two types of engines.

That is a nice thing about Pontiac V8's. For example, just say I want a 462 Pontiac. I just remove my 350 and bolt in the 462. It's the same block!
Ooh, Maybe I should bolt in a 462! If I had the bucks....
