Bad exhaust

Just wondering, the Beaumont I picked up has basically no weather stripping and rubber on the trunk, doors and along windows! There is also no carpet or rear seat in at the moment!!! Would this be the reason for the overwhelming smell of exhaust in the interior!!! After a short drive (10 min), I can leave the car, and people will comment that they can smell gas on me!!! It's nautious as well!!! Comments????

Had a similar issue with my GTO when I bought it. Once I put the trunk weatherstrip on it toned it down considerably.

I believe there is a vent tube in the trunk for the gas tank could be blocked or not sealed properly.

Check that the rubber between the hood and the cowl is intact. Also check for holes in the firewall.
