Replacing the plugs in an engine that hasn't run much in the last 8 years, and I'm not quite sure what type I should use to replace them with. If anyone knows about this stuff could u help, I can give u specs on engine , just ask me what info u require!
Thanks
Rich
U guys run hotter or colder plugs, platinum , copper, silver, v-groove, U-groove!?? The engine is a 454 from a 72 gmc truck! It's been modified and runs about 485 Hp!
I'm running E3 plugs in the 64 Catalina, noticed a difference as soon as I started it. Mileage also improved on the highway [if I don't get into the 2nd Quad]

If you run it hard(er) ... a cold plug, AC Delco R43. R44 is a mid-range plug.
I run a hotter AC Delco R45 because I will have a "putt around town" 283.
