I changed my mind. I got the bill of sale in my name. It's mine, all mine!!!!! (Just kidding, it's safe at the new home of an anonymous Canadian Poncho member )
That's awesome Carl. I can't thank you enough for the effort you put in to making this happen. Now I just need to get it out of your way.
Once again thanks to Todd for creating this site, which has allowed us to find each other in this huge country and preserve our Canadian Poncho heritage.

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here too Rick, so it wasn't much of an effort. About 24 degrees, sunny and barely a breeze. I did work up a viscious sweat loading your car and the other car I hauled today but that is the worst thing that happened the whole day! My Come-Along sure was groaning pulling that big wagon onto the trailer though! The techs at work call me a "fat a** pencil pusher", so it does me good to work once in a while!!!

The frame is not very good on it but the car is amazingly complete. I think the only damaged piece of trim is the passenger quarter and it just has a nice gentle bow in it. Being stainless I am betting its an easy fix. I don't think I've seen a missing piece except a battery!

I say a BIG thank you as well,, this has nothing to do with me, other than the proof that 'Good Guys ' still exist.
This is a thank you in general to all the Poncho family members on this site !!
Great bunch here !@@!

I'm a collector...not a builder!!Located in sunny central Saskatchewan at the lakehead!
When I was loading the wagon, the seller says to me "This guy must be a good friend of your's for you to work like this for him!" My reply was "This isn't work, this is fun!"
I didn't tell him we've never even met! Sometimes people don't understand...
This was only payback. I've had many many CP'ers do me favours, today I got a chance to return one.
I tried to do a favour for 62Beaumont by hauling his car but the goofball (I mean that in the nicest way possible!) paid (overpaid) me for it...

You know that car fixed up and lowed would look like a big jackfish cruising on the bottom of lake Winnipeg. i mean that in admiration by the way.
I have been thinking about getting into longroofs myself and I have to admit i can't get a certain red and white 58 poncho 2 door wagon in Gibbons out of my head. My wife would not be happy though.....
From the sounds of it got used for about the usual ten years and then just got parked becaue it was such a barge. It s kind of nice to find one that hasn't been played around with eh?
Benign neglect is preferable to enthusiastic stupidity. I went though that stage of disassembling parts or project cars myself and then realized the best way to store these things is to just leave then alone until you're actually going to do it to it.

I just checked how the trip went. I'm pretty impressed. The combo you see there averaged 18.59 mpg round trip. First leg of the journey, about 45 miles, empty trailer. Second leg, about 20 miles, loaded but a light car, 62 Acadian. Third leg, about 15 miles, empty trailer again. Fourth leg, about 70 miles, trailer groaning all the way, loaded with the 9 passenger "funeral car" as my wife commented
Granted the truck only liked 55 mph loaded cause of the wind but I think that's not bad mileage pulling. I have never really checked mileage before when I towed a loaded trailer with this truck.
In 2007 when I bought this trailer in Nebraska, a customer pulled it home for me with his 1 year old Duramax (with my 67 Nova on top of it) and we got 18.5 for the whole trip but that was at 65 mph and we had some ugly ugly winds. Gotta love the Duramax's for power and economy.

It should still be possible to get a good frame out west I would assume.
Too dark now but if Rick is ok with it I can arrange some in a day or two.
Totally complete as far as I can see, just a battery missing...
And yes it's a 6. It never ever had a big block........... No, really, it didn't.............. Honest, I have no idea where the big block went.............. Oooops...
