No Brake lights


On my 53 pathfinder I have no brake lights, where is the sto p light switch located and how do I check it out

My '53 Bel-Air has it under the hood, just below the steering column. A 2 terminal switch with a rod on it that is actuated by the pedal arm. I will get a pic in the morning.....

 Should have power on one terminal and then power on the other with the pedal depressed....

There is also some 53 with a pressure switch directly on the outlet of the master cylinder. You will see 2 wire on the switch, connect those together, if work your switch is dead.
