Cool deal!.
Different story for 1962 models but '61 was a strange year w/ Impala 2-Dr. Posts and '61 BelAir Hardtops!.
Anyone know if either or both these strange '61 body style/trim variations were built in Canada?.

No need to be confused, in Canada they built all the same 1961 full-size models as in the U.S. That includes Bel Air & Impala 2 & 4-door hardtops, Biscayne, Bel Air & Impala 2 & 4-door sedans, Impala convertible, plus Brookwood, Parkwood, Kingswood, Yeoman & Nomad (Impala 4-dr.) wagons. I don't know what to tell you about the Impala SS that year except that no 409 cars were built in Canada that year (only 162 built in the U.S.). The SS package was also available as a dealer-installed option that year! It was meant for 348-power.

To me 1962 was confusing due to the carry-over 1961 bubbleback roofline being used exclusively on the Bel Air Sport Coupe (the last year for the Bel Air Sport Coupe until the Canadian-exclusive return of a Bel Air Sport Coupe for 1970).
