Man I LOVE this SD!!

A week ago I posted pics of this BEAUTIFUL SD I saw at a local car show.

http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t43603137/nice-sd-from-a-car-show-on-the-weekend/

Today I went to another show and it was there again...with THE MOST KICK ASS SIGN I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!

Next weekend theres the biggest show of the summer for around here so i'm gonna stalk this car till I meet the owners.

That is one heeluva sign. I suppose if you have on helluva SD you might as well go whole hog on the sign too. If I ever get a Beaumoint I'm going to refer to it as a Pontiac as well.

I usually display a sign board with my cars but that one is way cool. Very clever idea.

I see what you mean Fred, that almost looks like a misprint ?? I wonder if its an original engine car so it can be verified ??

Regarding the engine, I have been told by former employees that sometimes a engine wouldn't fire when the car was done and they found it cheaper and faster to change it out in the post production repair area. This is how cars get odd numbers from the factory.

I know an original owner of a 73 454 Vette who's car got a 350 numbers carb. He had it from day one like that. Luckily I had a 454 core for him and he was happy to put it on the car as he kept losing points at judging. After 37 years it got the "right" number.

There was an article in the P.O.C.I magazine written by a former GM plant worker that stated what Ray said. If it didn't start right away it was shipped to offline repair and sometimes another engine was dropped in.
