Standard Catalog of Canadian Cars

Sorry if this is the wrong place but does anyone know where I can lay my hands on John Gunnell's Canadian Catalog please?  I used to have a note for a vendor but now can't find it!

Sorry David, have not heard of any "John Gunnell's Canadian Catalogue". I have heard of other books by John Gunnell, like "Standard Catalogue of American Muscle Cars" and "Standard Catalogue of Pontiac 1926-2002", 2nd Edition - (the latter may have something on Acadians or Beaumonts).

David, I got this book last January, it is very good; Canadian vehicle weights & prices, paint codes, engine numbers, VIN decode guide, assembly plant info, vehicles identified by each Canadian manufacturer, model year, model number, series name, sub-series name and body style and comprehensive history on each manufacturer.

"Car & Parts Catalogue of Canadian Car I.D. Numbers" by Bill Watson; Paperback; 856 pages; $54.99 US from Amazon.com, LLC

Others:

Cars of Canada (A Craven Foundation History), hardcover, by Hugh Durnford, Glenn Baechler - $49.24 on Amazon.com

The Specifications Book for U.S. Cars, 1930-1969: Includes Canadian Automobiles; paperback; by G. Marshall Naul; $27.49 - Amazon.com

Thanks for that site. I just ordered a book I couldn't find anywhere else.

Flywheel, Memories of the Open Road, by Tom Swallow. I had this book and lent it to someone years ago, and never got it back. It was a compilation of automotive newsletters written in a 2nd World War German POW camp by the prisoners. Hand illustrated, and the one copy was passed around from POW to POW to enjoy. They all survived the war and were compile into the book. Pretty incredible testimony to the men who were in that stuation and chose to make it a better place!

Thanks guys! I was misled I think: it was by Bill Watson.

Cars of Canada I have seen extracts of...and in fact I was given the author's collection of handbooks some time later after i made contact.
