Hey rog,.. I've a prediction for ya ,..

Like the others,.. I agree,.. just drive it,.as is,...and have fun.

But the car isn't going to stay "as is",... ya know why?   It will make "THE" wedding car!   There's your timeline for restoration

Have fun with it rog!

Can't believe you got a fairly decent good-running ragtop for that price! I like the wheel/tire combo, and the turquoise (?) color is fine for that car. A new rear bumper and clean up the interior a bit and you're looking good!

Skip the flat black. thats a little overdone. I know it hides bondo waves, but why not drive and enjoy it the way it looks? It's a convertible, it's July, enuff said!

I have added my touch to the car, the Champ 500's , I bought new in '88 and had them installed on my black 64 Custom Sport. Been on the shelf for the last 8 years or so....time to get some mileage out of them...

upgraded the grill , added seat belts for the family.

I still need to change the bumpers for some better ones I have ..especially the rear1

I've been driving it , the 350 runs strong,,but not as strong as the 327 in my Custom Sport,,guess you can't have it all !! LOL...

( I've been frowned at by some of my friends for my wheel choice already ! but I figure a early 90's color fit the early 90's wheels !! )

Everyone has different preference of course ,.... but my vote is the baby moons!  It just looks natural.

I gotta say,.... of all the potential buyers out there,... I'm real happy that this one fell into your hands.  You'll do her justice!  The color has grown on me too.  I like it!

I prefere chrome and moons too...normally, but the teal colour and fitment just didn't work for me. ( 8's front and back )

I'm going steelies and poverty caps next ! 15 x 7 and 6's ...

and now I'm kicking myself for selling that last set of Custom Sport trim...oh well....I'll come across more ...LOL !

Hey Roger, I'm not feeling the Champ 500s, but the CS grill looks fantastic!

Silver, black, or other colour steel rims, with doggies?

I kind of like it without the base/CS trim.

If you get another nice rear bumper, ship it out here!biggrin

Rags are the way to go. Great buy and drive it first before you do anything. Enjoy cruizing and if you keep it dry it will last a long time in it's present condition. I have about 15000 KM on my red 65 SD rag since I owned it and I have loved every minute of it. It's still my favorite car.
