'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I have a '65 Parisienne CS convertible and am trying to find out whether the engine I have is the original or not.
I have the VIN and block number but am unable to trace it anywhere.
Need answers before I either replace or re-build current engine.
VIN - 576567018816
Block - KV62904B
Also if the block number is for a 327 or 283.
Thanks for any assistance offered.
The serial # definitely says a 1965 Custom Sport 6 Cyl (76567), wow what a rare car that would be, never seen a Custom Sport 6 cyl that I can remember.
I think you could get a 66 chevy SS with a 6 so it stands to reason you could with a Pontiac as well. It would actually be worth more with the six just for the rarity of it but unless you like going slow its not that much fun...

Yes, I owned a 65SS ( 230 cu in ) 6cyl during university. Economical, reliable and it got from A to B
