64 Parisienne Convertible on eBay UK

This may be of interest to some of you.   It's one of the 54 or so made for the UK market like mine.   This is the second time it's been listed.   Yes, our market is very depressed too!

Very nice car! I like the seller's name: spannernutsbiggrin

I just noticed the Ontario licence plate on it.

darryl, did you notice the dash is from a '62.  And the wipers operate like an american pontiac.

Wow,.. nice!

I noticed from the photos on ebay,.. that the trunk looks like that of a US model Pontiac frame. (no sunken cavity)   I thought "Canadian frames" (aka full X frame chevys) were used for export to the UK.     Wierd or what?  I guess he may have made a cardboard cover of some sort.  The bottom cover also looks like that of a US '64. confuse

It widely known that they used interiors from ealier models for the UK export.

That skyline blue is totally MY color! Sweet!

Appears to be a piece of plywood over the trunk well (under the mat)

Did you notice the weird wiper motor? (looks like 60's tempest/lemans)

The dash fitted to 1961-64 rhd Chevies and Pontiacs was the '61 lhd PONTIAC dash transposed. Amazingly quite a number of the '64 Parisiennes have been preserved...sales seem to have dropped off in '65.

'64 Hardtop

I am reliably informed that all RHD '64 s had the Chevy X frame. Mine certainly does. The blue ebay car has what looks like the remains of an aftermarket tow hitch under the back but I'm certain the trunk is identical to mine - ie like an Impala - with the sunken cavity.   All of the RHD '64 s were 283 with Powerglide.   Some LHD models were officially imported that year as well.   I'll try and post the price list when I get time.   As Oracle says the dash is from a '61, I'm currently debating whether to buy one from "down under" (actually out of a Chevy) to replace mine which is quite heavily pitted and has been butchered by a previous owner to install a non standard radio.
