Well I pulled my rear bumper off to send it out for rechroming. Had another one I put on as a temporary. This one being straighter than the first, rubs on the body on the pass side even with max adjustment. So I got looking closer and the gap between the RR tire to fender is greater than the LR. Also looks like rear body mounts are shifted. If I am to attempt to realign the body, how far to the front of the car do the mounts need to be loosened? And what are the chances of not breaking these bolts? I don't see any way of getting to the threads on the rear ones to spray down with penitrating fluid. Thanks. JC

HI if the body shifted at the back the front fenders and doors would be way off to ...check to see if the quarter has been changed ...or has the frame been hit and not repaired right
The car was tee-boned on the passenger side for sure. I had noticed the door replaced and repair done to pillar for door catch when redoing the interior. But that is the side out, not in. I know the frame is OK. Four wheel alignment. Don't know about the front fenders but the hood sure fits like a saddle on a sow. I guess it could be the fenders out. Being a convertible, door mis alignment isn't as noticeable.

So I thought I'd give it a try shifting over the back end of the body on the frame. Moved over enough to stop the bumper rubbing but two mount bolts broke. Anyone know if '68 Impala convertible mount kit is the same as '68 Parisienne convertible ? Saw one in NOS, but none for Parisienne. And I'll need a bolt and nut kit too if that is available. Anyone know of a complete kit there? Thanks.
And about the uneven tire to fender gaps. The diff wasn't centered to the frame so I slotted the sway bar mounting hole slightly at the diff and good to go. Haven't road tested yet but I'm guessing steering wheel out. More Beer for the alignment guy at work!
